New In-Store Bike Maintenance Classes at Giant Lygon St
If you’ve ever wanted to learn the basics of bike maintenance but didn’t know where to start, we’ve got something special for you. This winter, a store first, the team has come together to formulate and run an in-person course at Giant Lygon St designed to give you the confidence to take care of your own bike.
Spread across four weekly sessions, each 45 minute class will walk you through the essentials, from understanding the anatomy of your bike to checking your chain, gears, and brakes. You’ll learn how to do a pre-ride safety check, adjust your saddle, clean your drivetrain, and fix a flat. We’ll also give you a solid intro to tubeless systems and talk through the tools and techniques you need for quick fixes at home or mid-ride.
Throughout the course, we’ll demo key repairs and give you the chance to get hands-on with real bikes. If you've always wondered how to tell if your chain is worn, how to silence noisy gears, or how to add sealant to your tubeless setup then this course is for you. Plus, we'll cover the gear that makes maintenance easier, like multi-tools, lubes, pumps and patch kits. Each workshop is limited to only 15 participants to ensure plenty of hands-on practice and one-on-one guidance.
Workshop Schedule
Come to one, or come to them all! Spots are limited, so if you'd like to secure your place or hear about future sessions, let us know in-store, give us a call, or slide into our DMs. Got a specific skill you’re eager to learn? We’re all ears.
