Giant’s New Rivet MIPS Helmet Has Dropped
Giant has recently dropped the fully redesigned Rivet MIPS, an aero helmet engineered for riders chasing pure speed. Built from the ground up using CFD modelling and wind tunnel validation, it’s a massive leap from the previous model, boasting a 6.4-watt savings thanks to its refined aerodynamic shape and airflow control.
Designed with input from elite triathletes and time trial specialists, the new Rivet isn’t just fast, it’s built to be worn all the way to the finish line. Large central vents are placed in low-pressure zones to maximise cooling without adding drag, while a three-position height adjustment system ensures a secure, dialled fit. The magnetic buckle from renowned brand Fidlock allows for fast, one-handed fastening, and the removable visor and rear aero fin system offer versatility for both TT and triathlon setups.
Safety is top-tier too, with the MIPS Air Node system built in and a five-star rating from the Virginia Tech Helmet Safety Lab. It’s no surprise that Team Jayco AlUla has been rocking this lid since its release earlier this season.
Whether you’re chasing the clock or looking for a performance edge on race day, the Rivet MIPS is built to make you faster while looking damn good doing it.
