The newly released Giant Explore E+ Range is built for riders who want to spend more time on the bike and less time worrying about heavy loads, merciless hills, and long distances. It’s the kind of E-bike that makes you look at the map differently as suddenly those distant trails, weekend markets, and longer commutes feel within reach. 

The assistance feels natural and intuitive. Instead of fiddling with modes, the Smart Assist system quietly adjusts the power as you ride. This feature is most impactful when you hit a hill or push off with loaded panniers as the motor will smooth out the effort for you. 

On rougher roads, the Explore E+ feels reassuringly stable. The suspension fork and wide tyres take the edge off potholes and gravel, letting you stay comfortable and in control. It quietly adds peace of mind to every ride, with smart touches like rear radar to keep you aware of what’s behind you, adaptive lighting that reacts to the road, and an E-Lock that disables the motor and triggers an alarm if the bike is moved. There’s even Apple Find My integration, so you always know where your bike is. While there is variation in the range and models are available in a traditional and ‘step through’ frame version, the main features that make this a bike for exploration stay consistent. This means all models are equipped with a removable battery, a kickstand, aluminium fenders front and rear, integrated lighting, and a seamlessly integrated rear rack bringing the lead limit for the bike up to a massive 156kg. The models are even sporting a new Aegis Tyre Management System, allowing you to monitor tyre pressure directly from the inbuilt screen. 

 

The E+ 1 variants build on the E+ 3 variants by adding features such as Shimano Cues Electronic 11 speed shifting, improved braking, more compatibility with range extenders and rack attachments (such as child seats), and even a dropper post!
